Every aquatic attraction project starts with real constraints: available space, budget limits, target guests, and sometimes local regulations. At Edline, our water slide designer team begins there.
Instead of pushing a fixed catalogue, we study your site and your objectives to shape the right solution, whether a city pool, a campsite, or a waterpark. This approach allows us to design slides and aquatic attractions that truly fit each environment.
How the design process works
At Edline, our approach as a trusted water slide designer ensures every project is tailored to your park, resort, or aquatic facility.
- Needs analysis: after a site visit, our business manager collects all project details, including space constraints, target audience, budget, and technical requirements. This information is shared with our design office to start the process.
- Technical assessment: our engineering team develops detailed plans, reviewing ride layout and compliance with EN 1069 standards. We focus on safety, durability, and ride quality, ensuring each slide meets operational and guest expectations.
- 3D visualizations: realistic 3D renders allow you to see the slide’s flow, thematic elements, and immersive effects before manufacturing.
- Commercial proposal: based on all documentation and visuals, we provide a clear, comprehensive quote for your water slide or aquatic attraction project.
This step-by-step process guarantees clarity, confidence, and a fully tailored solution, creating memorable experiences for riders and enhancing your park’s reputation in the waterpark industry.
Safety and compliance built into every design
At Edline, safety and regulatory compliance are integral to every water slide project from the very beginning. Our engineering team focuses on key areas to ensure fully safe and reliable installations, giving every rider a smooth and enjoyable ride experience :
- Regulatory requirements: strict adherence to EN 1069 standards, covering user safety, speeds, clearance zones, pinch points, and access.
- Site integration and space constraints: thoughtful placement within existing environments, managing heights, access, and circulation using volumetric 3D software.
- User flow management: controlling arrivals and departures, avoiding hazardous interactions.
- Slide kinematics and dynamics: careful monitoring of ride speeds and accelerations.
- Structural sizing and calculations: Eurocode compliance, load verification (users, water, etc.), and full safety validation.
- Access and sensitive zones safety: stairs, platforms, landing areas, splash pools.
- Operational conditions: considering real usage, visitor behavior, and attendance patterns.
Design for every type of aquatic project
Edline’s design service adapts to all aquatic projects, from simple slides for campsite swimming pools to complex multi-attraction installations for water parks across many cities, themed splash pads, and fully original custom attractions.

What our design work looks like
At L’Europa campsite, an Aquatube and a two-lane Slid’tob were already in place. We added a “Paris” water slide to this installation, retaining and extending the existing platform to ensure seamless continuity between the attractions.
At Camping La Côte des Roses, we installed an EDSUN-made water slide, the two-lane Slid’tob, along with a Berlin slide from Aqualine. One of the slides was customized with the client’s logo, MS Vacances Group, at the landing area.
Frequently asked questions
The timeline depends on the complexity of your project. For a single slide destined for a campsite swimming pool, or a multi-attraction installation in a water park or amusement facility, it typically spans several weeks. In any case, our team keeps you informed at every stage so you can plan your opening with confidence.
You receive a complete design package: 3D visualisations, technical plans compliant with EN 1069 standards, and a detailed commercial proposal. These documents are ready to use, whether to validate the project internally, present it to your company’s decision-makers, or initiate any required administrative procedures.
Yes. We understand that ideas evolve and that a project sometimes needs to adapt to new constraints, budget revisions, site changes, or updated guest expectations. Minor adjustments are handled efficiently. For more substantial changes, we assess the impact together and find the best solution for your case.
Our design deliverables are built to meet EN 1069 standards from day one, which is widely recognised as the industry benchmark for water slide safety. The technical documentation we produce is structured to support your administrative process. For jurisdiction-specific requirements, which vary by country and sometimes by region, we recommend confirming local obligations with the relevant authorities, and our team is available to advise based on experience across multiple states and markets.
Absolutely. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Whether you have an in-house design team, a preferred architecture firm, or an external engineering company, we integrate seamlessly into your existing workflow. In our experience, the best results come from projects where all parties share their expertise early in the season of planning, before key decisions are locked in.
